Self-isolation doesn't mean you can't stay connected. We want to help you get lost for a moment and experience some of the things that make the Daylesford and the Macedon Ranges so unique. Here are some highlights from across the region:
Nothing should stop a local raffle from raising money for a needy community cause. Farmers Arms Hotel, in Daylesford, has taken their popular Friday night raffle live. Purchase your tickets in advance, and on Friday night watch as the excitement unfolds via their Facebook page.
Our much-loved Bistro Terroir draws many visitors to our region. Chef Matthew Carnell and team are serving up some cracking take away meals for the locals at the moment. They are also keeping their cool, sharing their French music playlist on Spotify to accompany their delicious French creations.
Our distilleries have put up their hands to help with the sanitiser shortage. Check-in with Animus Distillery, Big Tree Distillery and Herbal Lore Liqueurs for availability. Hang out a bit longer and add to your shopping carts some of the best gin, vodka and liqueurs in Australia, and for that matter, the world.
The Chocolate Mill continues to bring joy to the world from afar with their range of goodies. Their new ‘Quarantine Survival Kit‘ is a game-changer, providing true sustenance in this time of need. Order for a friend or keep for yourself. We won’t judge.
The Red Hill Trivia Night must go on, and it does! Thanks to Zoom, the Chewton Scots are challenging the world now. It’s free, fun and open to anyone who knows things about stuff.
Grab the kids and pile them in front of storytime with Squishy Minnie Bookstore. Each week Lucky’s recordings will be released on a Thursday and will be available for a week. All of the books will be available on their website, sent from Kyneton all around Australia.
Throw together some nominated young guns of wine, and you’re sure to have something great to drink —experience Lancefield’s finest, with 3 and 6 bottle mixed wine packs. Choose from Lyons Will, Wilimee Wines, Parkside Winery, Curly Flat, Lanes End and Double Oaks Estate. Call (03) 5429 1969 or email at the Lancefield Providore and have it delivered to your front door.
