Come and pick fresh organically grown strawberries direct from the farm, just a short 7 minute drive from Daylesford.
Some things to note before you arrive:

- Picking is dependent on fruit availability and the weather
- This is a working farm so please ensure that you wear appropriate foot wear (preferably closed toe) and sun protection (there is not a lot of shade).

We are exposed to the elements so fruit availability is subject to weather conditions.

Silver Jewellery Workshop - Beginners

In this short 3 hour course Sarah will guide you through learning the traditional techniques to make your own silver jewellery. In order to ensure you are able to create further projects at home on the completion of your class there is a strong focus on using tools that are readily available and able to be set up and used at home.
Each participant will have the choice of creating a ring, set of earrings, or a pendant, in a design of their own style. They will be guided through the process from marking out their design, cutting, forging, soldering, sanding, texturing and then finally finishing their piece.

Introduction to Mosaics Weekend

Come and try your hand at making a mosaic wall plaque!
Working with a pre-made form you will learn to trace the patterns onto glass, before learning to cut and refine the pieces with a grinder. You will also use glass tiles to create accents and learn how to use mosaic cutters to shape them. Participants will then use the direct method to create a mosaic.
Once dried participants will grout and then finally learn to clean their mosaics ready to take home. It will need to be stored inside for 1-2 weeks while the grout cures, then it can be displayed outside
Session times:
The class will run in two sessions to allow for drying time between processes;
Session 1: 10:30am- 3:30pm Saturday (includes break for lunch with catering provided)
Session 2: 10:30am - 12.30 or until project is finished on Sunday (some participants may finish their projects earlier)
Lunch will be provided on the first day using all local organic produce and catered for any dietary requirements you may have. We also provide you with a divine treat on the second day and tea and coffee facilities are available throughout the course. We anticipate that participants will be completed in time to check out one of our great local cafes for a late lunch on Sunday.

Embossing with Plants and Photopolymer Plates

Embossed printing plates can be made using plants, textures, fabrics placed directly on the plate surface and exposed to UV light (sunlight or UV unit).
Please bring to the workshop small plants, weeds and leaves, flattened if possible. The plate size is 15 x 10cm so you can make an arrangement of your plants on the plate surface in a contact frame. We can expose in sunlight or a UV unit. The plates are then washed out in tap water, dried and post-exposed. They are then ready to ink with a roller and print onto paper. Once dry they can be folded to create beautiful cards. Each participant will make one plate and print 5 cards. The plate can be printed in the future in different colours.

Join Lilian in the Macedon Ranges and learn how to make stunning live Kokedamas using two different methods.
In this beginner-friendly class, you will learn about the materials that are required, how to make up the potting mix and the role that the different substrates have in ensuring that your plant thrives for years to come.
Kokedama which translates from Japanese to mean "Moss Ball" was formed from the gardening styles of Bonsai and Kusamono, these have then been further developed to be wrapped in twine as a way of stabilising the plant for display and to allow the Kokedama to deal with the warmer temperatures found in our region.

Learn the process of creating a leadlight window from pattern and glass selection, to glass cutting, breaking, and shaping, working with lead cames, and soldering, puttying, and finishing panels.
- This is an Adult workshop and is suitable for ages 16+ncluding how to cut and shape glass pieces using glass cutters and glass grinders.

The class will run in two sessions to allow for the whole process to be explored;

Leadlight By Ettore has been teaching Glass Arts in the Macedon Ranges for over 40 years. They are a multi-generational business with both Ettore and Rhain running 10 week term classes, weekend workshops, private groups and parties as well as school holiday programs. The studio also produces fused glass, copperfoiled and mosaic pieces as well as repairs and commissions of leadlight pannels.
- The workshop costs include all materials required and all tools will be provided in the studio for use by participants.

Bacharach And Beyond
For the past six years, Jack and the Ambassadors have been presenting their beautiful Bacharach show around Melbourne. The group has recently expanded the concept to include some of the other great sophisticated songs of the era - think Herb Alpert, Sergio Mendes, Jimmy Webb, The Carpenters; and of course, still plenty of Bacharach. With the fabulous Michael sisters, Heather and Marj, on lead vocals and flute and violin, Jack on vocals and trumpet, John Berto on guitar and vocal, Amy Valent Curlis on vibes and percussion, Greg Murray on drums and Rob Walker on bass; plus the great addition of John Mcall on piano and Ian Haines on trombone, the show has been brilliantly realised and orchestrated.
They launched the show in December 2018 and it was a sensation - a conga line circled the room by the end of the night! With the expanded line-up and their usual heart and soul, The Ambassadors will take you on a glorious retro musical ride.
Jack plays with Hunters & Collectors; and in 2017, toured the world with Midnight Oil. He has been described as “one of the great quiet achievers of Australian music". In 2020, he released his musical memoirs, Small Moments Of Glory, alongside his latest original album, Dog Songs.

Traditional Marbling Workshop: Turkish Ebru | Kyneton Victoria

Ebru, also known as water/paper marbling, is the traditional Turkish art of creating colourful patterns by dropping and splashing paints onto a tray of solution with special brushes. Paper and other materials are then dipped into the solution to preserve your pattern onto their surface.
In this workshop, you will gain knowledge of the history of Ebru and an introduction to the traditional materials and techniques used to create the patterns, before transferring them onto paper. On your final printing, we will use non-paper objects such as Bamboo fans or coasters.
During the session we will learn to create at least six different Ebru patterns and their variations:
Battal Ebru - Stone or Rock Pattern
Gel-Git Ebru - Tidal Pattern
Taraklı Ebru - Combed Pattern
Şal Ebru - Shawl Pattern
Bülbül Yuvası Ebru - Snail Pattern
Dalgalı Ebru - Spanish Pattern
Ebru has a lot to offer to people in terms of Turkish culture with it being listed as a UNESCO heritage-listed traditional art as well as being a relaxing, fun and unique experience.
Ebru is a mesmerising world that will transport you to a place of zen as you manipulate and transform your paints into intricate patterns that are unique and it’s impossible to replicate. It helps participants to discover their inner vision and discover their inner creativity while easing their anxiety and stress by providing tranquillity to the soul. The end result of this work is a piece with its own spirit and nature that looks like magic.
This rare art form is mostly about focusing on the process itself and exploring/coming-soon-candle-decorating-class experimenting with colours on water surface rather than the product but you can expect to obtain a series of at least seven to eight ebru papers at the end of the session, depending on the time you spend for each of your designs.... The last few years have seen ‘one of Australia’s hottest bands’ release new singles, ‘Baby It’s You’, and more recently ‘Take Me In Your Arms’. They have appeared on countless TV & radio shows and performed around the country. Often, as part of the Gold FM concert series or a more recent highlight, The Big Red Bash, with Midnight Oil and Kasey Chambers.
Collectively and individually The Chantoozies have contributed to Australia’s rich music, film, television and theatre culture. They have a unique and entertaining energy that they bring to every show, singing a combination of their original songs, Wanna Be Up, Witch Queen of New Orleans, Kiss & Tell, Love the one you’re with, and some covers from various eras.
