Duneira Estate
Duneira Estate is an original colonial hill-station and grand garden located on Mount Macedon. The property was first established by Suetonius Officer in 1872 and comprises of 38 acres of magnificent gardens, chestnut groves, apple orchard, original outbuildings and gate lodge, all of national trust significance. The property is open to visitors year round with guided garden and house tours, open garden days and seasonal events.
Stuart Stoneman was the last owner of Duneira and bequeathed the property to the S.R Stoneman Foundation for the community to use and enjoy. Stoneman’s extensive art, Persian rug, and antique furniture collections along with his outstanding library are on display in the 1875 Victorian mansion.
