Maldon’s Fine Art Treasure
Cascade Art Gallery will be closed from 23 April 2023 until 2024 whilst restoration work on the back end of the building takes place. The front gallery will be open by appointment.
Please call Kareen Anchen on 0408 844 152 or email to arrange a time. Artwork by David Moore, Liz Sullivan, Robert Maclaurin, Julie Andrews, Jeff Gardner, Dean Bowen, Sam Varian, David Frazer, and others, will still be available to acquire, however, an appointment is essential.
Gallery Director Kareen Anchen manages the Cascade Art Gallery. In 2024 Cascade will re-open with a new season of significant exhibitions by established and emerging visual artists. Most of the artists represented at Cascade work, reside, or have a strong connection with Central Victoria.
Cascade Art Gallery started as Cascade Print Workshop 6 km outside of Maldon in 2001. Artist-in-residence, Jeff Gardner has been making prints ever since he was a student at the Victorian College of the Arts. Gardner is a successful painter, printmaker, and poet. He has published several small, illustrated poetry books, with original etchings. The deluxe ‘Lucy the Dragon’ book was acquired by the Northern Beaches Library, Manly as part of the 2023 Artists’ Book Awards
