Agave Print Studio offers printmaking collaborations, workshops and accommodation.
Dianne Longley opened Agave Print Studio in November 2014 to coincide with the Daylesford Macedon Ranges Open Studios event. Agave Print Studio offers collaborations and workshops for printmakers, studio access and residencies, editioning services and one-to-one tuition.
The 1970s A-frame situated in picturesque Trentham is a wonderful studio space, with large windows, excellent light, accommodation upstairs via a spiral wooden staircase, and professional printmaking facilities for intaglio and relief printmaking and letterpress printing. Trentham is about 1.5 hour’s drive from Melbourne. You can take the Bendigo train to Woodend, which is 22kms from Trentham, where you can be collected.
In 1998 Dianne published ‘Printmaking with Photopolymer Plates’, a book about working with photopolymer plates (solarplates). She is currently working on a new book on photopolymer printmaking.
Dianne has taught workshops and classes in photopolymer printmaking and artist books in Australia, USA, Japan, Greece and the UK, and has taught printmaking and other subjects at a range of tertiary institutions.
Dianne’s PhD thesis was conferred through ANU in 2018. Dianne gained a BVA from Hunter Institute of Higher Education NSW in 1979, and a research MA from Flinders University SA in 2000
