A goldmine of local produce

We aim for VFMA accreditation so you can be confident that all stallholders at the Clunes Farmers’ Market offer the highest standard of produce.

On the second Sunday of every month people flock to the market to sample and buy the variety of local produce on offer ranging from fresh fruit and vegetables, organic meat, cheeses, honey, coffee, croissants, shortbread and wines to plants, bulbs, chickens and hay. The market also features a variety of entertainment so you can sit on a hay bale, have a chat, listen to toe tapping tunes and soak up the atmosphere.

The Clunes Farmers’ Market is working towards becoming a Victorian Farmers’ Market Association accredited market. There are strict guidelines surrounding the accreditation process which enables us to deliver the best possible products to the consumer. The consumer can be assured that all products are either locally made or, at the very least, made in Victoria.

With elevating concerns surrounding the origin of the food that we buy from supermarkets, it is timely that the Clunes Farmers’ Market becomes a genuine accredited market giving the consumer assurance that all food sold is subject to Australia’s strict food regulations and is the freshest produce available.

Clunes Farmers’ Market was officially opened by Alla Wolf-Tasker AM and Louise Staley PM on 12th April 2015.
