Supporting the economic viability of small scale farmers & producers.

The finest producers of the Mount Alexander Shire region, all in one place.

The Castlemaine Farmers’ Market has been supporting local farmers and providing fresh, local food to our community since 2005.

The Sunday monthly market is held on the first Sunday of every month except January, from 9 am to 1 pm, on the Western Oval, Forest Street, Castlemaine.

The CFM Weekly Market

Every Wednesday get your weekly market basics, including fresh, seasonal vegetables, fruit, bread, dairy, honey, eggs, meat, wine and several other things, in central Castlemaine on Wednesday afternoons.

It is local, it is fresh, it is delicious. You can either shop for what appeals on the day, or pick up online pre-orders (pre-order via each stallholder’s website, facebook page or phone number directly).

We encourage regenerative farming practices and provide a launch pad for new farmers and producers. All hyper local. All totally awesome.

The CFM Weekly market is held in the same place every Wednesday from 2.30 to 5.30 pm April to August
and 3.30-6.30 pm September to March.

The market is run by a volunteer committee made up of stallholders and community members.

The mission of the Castlemaine Farmers Market is to promote a positive profile for food, wine and related products in the region and to encourage and support the economic viability of small scale farmers and producers.

The Castlemaine Farmers Market is a not for profit enterprise. Stallholder fees and other funds are used for the management, promotion and maintenance of the market.
