Beautiful historic house and garden, with onsite Diggers garden shop

The Garden of St Erth is a beautiful historic house and garden. Each season has something to offer the visitor, including carpets of daffodils in spring, long flowering flower borders in summer and magnificent autumn garden colour. Explore the gardens and discover an extraordinary range of espaliered fruit, heirloom vegetables and drought-tolerant flowers. Cocooned in the Wombat State Forest, near Blackwood, the bush garden plays host to a variety of native birds, as well as being a place of restful contemplation.

Relax over coffee in the onsite cafe and enjoy lunch, morning or afternoon tea.

Stroll around the Diggers garden shop and ask the knowledgeable staff all of your gardening questions. The shop has a wide range of incredible edibles, hardy perennials and shrubs and stock up on seeds for the vegetable and flower garden. There is a huge selection of heirloom seeds and plants available for you to take home. The Diggers Club is committed to sustainable gardening and visitors will find inspirational ideas for gardening organically, becoming more self-sufficient and saving precious water while still enjoying nature’s bounty.

The Garden of St Erth is also home to Garden Beds Glamping. There are six bell tents outfitted in earthy luxury for secluded weekend getaways or nourishing nature-filled honeymoons. A chance to get out of the city, and wake up in a world-class garden.
