“Think of the lolly shop of your childhood dreams, substitute herbs and spices and you’re at Gewürzhaus.” The Age Epicure wrote when Gewürzhaus opened its first store. With more than 250 single-origin spices, herbs, salts, peppers, teas and sugars from around the world, we also mix and mill over 100 unique, small-batch blends which are made on a weekly basis using whole ingredients to ensure freshness and the highest quality.

At the core of Gewürzhaus is the mission to inspire and nuture cooking at home. It stems from our co-founders Eva and Maria’s desire to share their passion for nourishing their kin, as it was passed down through four generations of women in their family, and to celebrate the rich tapestry of their German heritage.

The Gewürzhaus experience is built on traditional, personalised customer service and values. The stores offer a unique self-scoop system, aimed at a more sustainable shopping experience by encouraging people to sample blends first, then buy as they need and refill their jars.
