Manteau Noir is a unique retail store located in Daylesford.
Opening its doors four years ago, Manteau Noir quickly garnered a strong following and became a renowned destination. Locally and internationally sourced womenswear, accessories and niche fragrances sit alongside homewares, art and antique objects sourced from France. You will only find products that are authentic, ethically produced and made from natural materials within this perfectly edited treasure trove.
Owner, Victoria Varrasso has been involved in the fashion industry for over 25 years and designs the store’s coveted eponymous Melbourne made “slow fashion” linen womenswear brand.
“Sleeping in beautiful linen sheets or drinking tea from an exquisite handmade cup made 100 years ago are such pleasurable daily ritualistic experiences. You will find a wonderfully cut Australian made linen dress in my store or a pair of lace-up leather boots handmade by third generation Italian artisans or an amazing scented candle created in France since 1643. Everything is sensory, everything has a story, everything is deliberate”, says Victoria.
A relaxed dog-friendly atmosphere combined with attentive customer service and an ever-changing visual feast create a new experience every time you visit.
