Seasonal, Scented, Freshly Harvested Flowers & Foliage
When springtime makes its welcome return to our region, the first signs to greet us are the flowers.
Scattered around our area are small-scale flower farms dedicated to growing the best the season has to offer in the most environmentally friendly way. From carpets of daffodils, to blossoming fruit orchards, to fields of roses and other colourful blooms, our farmers are passionate about bringing their bounty to you.
The flowers, foliage and herbs they grow are fresh, bee-friendly, perfume-filled, and richly diverse in variety and colour.
Whether you’re after a sweet posy for your kitchen table, an arrangement for a gift, a selection of edible flowers and leaves, or an elaborate wedding or event installation, our flower farmers are excited about picking blooms that will delight your senses and enrich your occasion.
In springtime, farm gate stalls in our area are filled with fragrant posies; farmers’ market stalls boast beautiful bunches freshly picked, and fruit and veg shops proudly display buckets full. From mid-November to early December our peony farms throw open their gates to picnickers, encouraging you to pick your own.
You can even buy a subscription from some flower farmers for a weekly delivered seasonal bunch. And if you’re planning an event and wish to showcase the locally grown, let your floral designer know and they’ll be thrilled to source exactly what you need.
Whatever your heart desires, you can feel confident that when you support one of our local flower farmers your blooms have been grown thoughtfully and lovingly and are guaranteed to delight your senses.
