Proudly at the forefront of Australia’s craft brewing movement for 20 years, Holgate Brewhouse is 100% independent and has supported and fostered innovation and creativity in traditionally crafted beers since 1999.  Co-founded by Paul Holgate and Tash Holgate, the family owned business continues to share their passion and beers through their expanded brew-pub, taproom and historic hotel in the village of Woodend, a short trip up the Calder Hwy from Melbourne in the magnificent Macedon Ranges.

Holgate Brewhouse is a historic hotel, with stylishly refurbished 10-room accommodation right beside the state of the art brewing operations and taproom! With over 20 Holgate beers on tap, all made on-site, there’s something for everyone….. so grab a tasting paddle and decide which is your favourite. 

FUNCTIONS: Our beautiful lead-light room is the original hotel guest dining room, and has been stylishly refurbished to create a gorgeous space for parties, functions, meetings, or boutique conferences. Embraced by a bay of historic lead-light windows, this warmly carpeted room has a delightful ambience and an old world charm, complete with roaring log fire. The space can be arranged to suit your requirements.

TAPROOM & VISITOR CENTRE: Our newly opened Taproom and Visitor Centre is available for private parties and events. With its own bar situated in our brand new state-of-the-art brewery, it is the perfect size for cocktail parties or corporate events of up to 90 guests standing, or 50 seated.

Featuring 16 taps, its own amenities, and indoor and outdoor areas, our taproom is a truly unique experience you can’t find anywhere else in Central Victoria.
