Leadlight by Ettore

Come and learn a new skill and explore your creativity in our glass arts studio in the regional Victorian town of Kyneton! Working in a wide range of glass arts the Leadlight By Ettore studio is a multi-generational family business with strong ties to the Macedon Ranges community, having lived, worked and taught in the region for over 30 years. The studio specialises in creating custom commissions in leadlighting (stained glass), fused glass, and mosaics along with repairs, restoration and preservation of panels as well as being a teaching studio.

Since we moved to our new studio in Kyneton, we have focused on passing on the skills needed to work with glass by running our term glass art classes to our 80+ weekly students and expanding our intensive day and weekend workshops! Our weekend courses focus on a specific style of glassworking or a related group of skills, to complete a sample project. These courses provide participants with the opportunity to learn a new skill and create a finished artwork while chatting to like-minded adults in our modern facility!

We run each of our workshops quarterly and some of the skills you can learn include Leadlighting, Copperfoiling, Mosaics, and Glass Fusing and Slumping as well as a program of ad hoc specialist glass classes. If there isn’t a class at a suitable time please get in touch to organise a private group if you have 4 or more people.

During the school holidays, we participate in the precincts School Holiday Program for kids aged 7-16, where they can learn the basics of glass art in our 2-hour sessions, or you can get in touch to organise a private multi-age session or party and create alongside your kids! Leadlight By Ettore actively encourages and accommodates for people with disabilities of all types. The space is wheelchair/walker accessible and we have a workbench made for electronic wheelchair use, as we as adaptive tools and systems, please get in touch to discuss your needs.
