A family run vineyard, winery and cellar door.
Hesket Estate is a family run vineyard, winery and cellar door. It is situated on the Northern slopes of Mount Macedon at 660 metres above sea level in the village of Hesket. A stone’s throw away from the famous Hanging Rock. This is an optimal cool climate site with vines that are over 30 years old. Hesket Estate specialises in Sparkling, Riesling, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Shiraz and Sangiovese fruit is also sourced from Heathcote. Hesket Estate is passionate about sustainable viticultural practices and minimal intervention winemaking.
They utilise wild yeast ferments, minimal filtration and no fining. Wine is aged in French oak barriques and puncheons. Over the years Hesket Estate has received a range of awards from the Macedon Ranges Wine Exhibition and the Daylesford Wine Show. Cellar Door is open every weekend 11:30am to 4:30pm. Enjoy a seated wine tasting in Plumm crystal wine glasses whilst overlooking the vines and historic oak trees. Local produce boards are available to complement the wine.
The Spud Diggers Hut located on site overlooking the vines offers self-contained queen accomodation. A perfect escape for the weekend.
