A heritage-listed war memorial of spiritual, symbolic cultural and social references.

Positioned on the summit of Mt Macedon, this imposing memorial structure stands 21 metres high. After short walk along a sealed path, take in the spectacular views south and back towards Melbourne.

Commemorating those who served in wars and conflicts, after Melbourne’s Shrine of Remembrance, Mt Macedon Memorial Cross is considered the most significant war memorial in Victoria. It is one of the most poignant locations for Anzac Day dawn commemorations in the country.

The Memorial Cross Reserve is also home to many bushwalk trails, so pack your exploring shoes and jacket if you like to stretch your legs.
