The Goldfields Track is a 210km point to point track from Mt Buninyong to Bendigo.

The Goldfields Track is made up of four smaller interlocking tracks with the Wallaby, Dry Diggings and the beginning of the Leanganook Tracks taking in some of our regions most historic towns and picturesque forests and countryside.

Start in historic Creswick, once you have explored the old-world charm of this quaint town you will start travelling into the beautiful Wombat State Forest, wander by the spectacular Sailors Falls as you make your way into Daylesford. Experience all Daylesford has to offer and then travel past old mining sites, faded villages and geological wonders, as you make you way to Vaughn Springs. It is then on through Fryerstown and into dense bushland, stop by Poverty Gully to marvel at an engineering feat that still carries water to paying customers 140 years on. Continue to Castlemaine to relax and soak up the eclectic goodness this town is filled with. The last leg of the Goldfields Track in our region will take you through the Chewton bushlands and past the impressive Garfield Water Wheel. When the native bush begins to turn into pine plantations and apple orchards, you will know you are coming into Harcourt. This idyllic town is a great place to stop and recharge with a coffee or award-winning apple cider.

The Goldfields Track begins at Peel Street, Ballarat
