When you’re in the mood for a luscious berry treat, this cocktail, provided by Hepburn Distillery, is sure to add a bit of sunshine to your day.

It’s important to note, that however you make it, you need the best ingredients to be sure the final drink shines.  Hepburn Distillery ferment and distil their vodka from locally grown organic potatoes and their Bullarto Strawberry Gin is flavoured with juniper, basil, pepper and steeped organic strawberries from Wombat Forest Organics.  Not only are the ingredients grown within a small distance of their distillery (a feel-good low emissions story) but they’re also the freshest, tastiest produce you can find.  The juice is worth the squeeze.

If you can wait, leave your mixed drink in the fridge before serving.  It will help the strawberries add more flavour and colour.  Unfortunately, though, it may also make the drink so delicious your happy hour will end up less than 10 minutes.

Hepburn Springs Distillery began with the idea of LOCAL and drawing from the mineral-rich soil, and abundant rainfall of Hepburn Shire. Surrounded by forest in cold, spud country, we were inspired to make a product that grew locally, was free of chemicals and low in food miles. We source as many of our raw materials as we can locally, organically and seasonally and grow some of the botanicals for our gin.
