An inviting cellar door open on weekends, located 12 minutes from Daylesford towards Ballarat, offering delicious platters, certified organic and vegan wine and cider tastings, regional beers, Goldfields Farmhouse Cheeses and local produce.
Captains Creek rises on our mixed organic farm at Blampied, near Daylesford, at the foot of Kangaroo Hills. Four generations of the May family have run the 80 hectare farm for more than 100 years since 1909. The vineyard was established in 1994 by Doug and Carolyn May.
Certified organic with NASAA, the vineyard produces grapes that are grown and processed without the use of synthetic pesticides and chemical fertilisers.
From the lush Pinot Noirs to bright Chardonnays to thirst quenching Ciders, you’ll find the best selection of handcrafted organic wines come from the headwaters of Captains Creek. Our selection for tasting includes Sparkling white and red, Unoaked and Oaked Chardonnay, Rose, Pinot Noir, a methode champenoise sparkling apple cider and two farmhouse style apple ciders.
Our inviting cellar door offers delicious platters served between 12-4pm on Saturdays and Sundays. We pride ourselves on sourcing the finest products from local producers in this rich food growing region.
Grab a table on the verandah overlooking the vines and countryside during our warmer months or beside the roaring open fire in winter. Try our popular Tasting Plate which is laden with a selection of local delicacies which includes Istra prosciutto, salami and hot chorizo, olives, pickled vegetables, dips served with local sourdough bread.

Guests are also able to enjoy our range of wines and ciders by the glass, regional beers and flavoured mineral water. Purchase Goldfields Farmhouse Cheeses, Istra smallgoods and other local produce.
Stay in our luxury tiny house secluded amongst 35 acres of forest, or our onsite spacious 3 bedroom farmhouse for that long overdue family getaway or friends catch up.
