In October the town celebrates its heritage with the Swiss Italian Festa through food, wine, history tours, street parade and fireworks throughout the village and surrounds.
A few minutes out of town are numerous bush walking tracks and The Blowhole. Or play a spot of golf with the wildlife at the Hepburn Golf course.
Beyond Hepburn is Mount Franklin Reserve known for its camping and volcano past. A short 30minute drive you can head further north to explore the gold mining hub of Castlemaine.
