Located halfway between Daylesford and Woodend, Trentham is a quaint town fringed by farmland and the Wombat State Forest. Trentham’s character-filled main street may be small, but it houses some real gems including charming country pubs, a fine dining restaurant worth travelling for, boutique stores and a busy bakery known for its prized sourdough loaves.
The magnificent Trentham falls located a couple of minutes out of town with a 32 meter drop is Victoria’s highest single drop waterfall. Outdoor enthusiasts take in the wildlife and tranquillity of the Domino Trail, or play a round at the local rolling golf course.
The regions produce is on display at the farmers market on the 3rd Sunday of each month and each May the town comes alive for The Great Trentham Spudfest. In August the town lights up the night for Winterfest.
Continue further East to Woodend a hub of historic buildings, boutique shops, cosy cafés and charming country pubs.
