The Daylesford and Macedon area is abundant with picture perfect locations ideal for a winter jaunt. Gather loved ones, rug up and blow away the cobwebs with one of these winter walks.
MACEDON REGIONAL PARK
Over 400 species of native plants have been recorded in the Macedon Regional Park and more than 200 species of birds and a wide variety of mammals can be found here including koalas, kangaroos, swamp wallabies, wombats, possums and gliders. There is ample opportunity to explore the Park on foot via a series of walks that make up the Macedon Ranges Walking Track.

HEPBURN REGIONAL PARK
Located around the famous mineral springs townships of Daylesford, Hepburn and Hepburn Springs. Here you will find natural mineral springs and relics of the gold mining era set in delightful bush surroundings.

GOLDFIELDS TRACK
The Goldfields Track is a point to point 210km track stretching from Ballarat in the south to Bendigo in the north. It passes through some of the region’s most historic towns and beautiful forests, including Creswick, Daylesford, Hepburn Springs and Castlemaine. The track was constructed by gold settlers over 150 years ago. You can hike the whole track or split it into smaller sections.
