Pod Jewellery

Pod Jewellery offers a range of jewellery and wedding ring workshops from Pod Studio, which is located high on a hill on the outskirts of Kyneton.

Classes are held around a big jeweller’s bench, so you’ll have your own space and tool kit to use during the class. And, the beauty of working around this big bench, is you’ll see what everyone else is working on.

Our classes are small with a maximum of six people (and a maximum of three people due to social distancing requirements), so you’ll receive lots of help. And rather than attending three-hour classes week-after-week, you’ll learn to make your jewellery in a workshop that is half a day to two days in length.

Whether you’re a beginner, hobbyist or an up-and-coming jeweller, you’ll have the chance to design your own piece of jewellery. In most classes, everyone will be making something different, so you’ll see how various types of jewellery are made. It’s great fun and a really supportive environment in which to learn.

You don’t need any experience and most importantly, you’ll learn at your own pace, while making a piece to suit your style and taste. All tools and equipment are supplied. There’s no need to pay extra to work in silver, it’s all included. For an extra fee, you can also work in gold or platinum.

We’re big believers in learning to use tools as you make your piece of jewellery, so we won’t be spending hours completing sawing and hammering exercises. We’ll be jumping straight into making our pieces and you’ll be provided you with plenty of guidance along the way.

Full-day workshops include a gourmet lunch and all workshops include morning/afternoon tea. Gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options are available. After the class, you’ll also receive a tool list, supplier list and making instructions. Jewellery and wedding ring workshops are available all-year-round.

Jewellery classes are suitable for beginners and students with some experience. You only need to pay a $100 deposit when booking your space.

Wedding ring making workshops are held over two half days or one full day. After the workshop, rings can be set with stones and engraved. Wedding rings made in these workshops look very professional.
