“If You Got Any More Beautiful The Sun Would Leave Its Place And Come For You” - THE CHASE BY RUPI KAUR
That may well sum up how you feel about your beloved, but it also describes what it’s like to marry here in the Daylesford Macedon region.
People are over boring weddings of bridal formality and dribbling with official proceedings and speeches. Love isn’t like that. It’s about passion, lust and laughter. Shouldn’t a wedding reflect that? Truckloads of couples take the plunge in this place. They do so in paddocks with roses rambling through fences. They do so in intimate bluestone churches hidden on dirt roads and feast with mates at tables heavy with flowers and regional produce. They do it in venues with views that are as vast and beautiful as the decades of love together that are soon to come for them both.
There’s nothing traditional about getting married in this place. It’s really about picking a venue (or a paddock) that represents physically who you guys are as a couple. Sharing platters of regional food packed with the seasonal produce you adore; with bowers of local flowers that casually smatter beauty everywhere and doing it all with the people who know you both to the core.
